Installation Tracking System

The PMI-ITS has been under continual development and improvement since 1999 and was created solely for the purpose of tracking and managing automated metering system change-out programs.  The system’s key attributes include a proven and successful track record of accurately tracking installation data and efficiently transferring that data to the customer billing system.  The PMI-ITS is a highly customizable, proven system for managing large-scale utility meter change-out programs.



Paperless Data Collection

PMI uses barcode equipped handheld data collection devices in the field to capture pertinent installation details.  All data collected ranging from installation data, quality control data, photographs and GPS coordinates are seamlessly collected and posted on a real time or near real time basis using our PMI app.  This data is available to our customers via a secure web portal accessible from anywhere that an internet connection is available.

Call Center

PMI has established a first class call center at its corporate office to handle appointment scheduling for meter projects nationwide.  This call center also serves as the focal point for customer service.  The call center fields calls from customers who have received notification of the intent to change-out their meter.  For scheduled meter installations, the call center operator will match a time that is convenient to the resident or business owner and that also coincides with an installation crew in that area.  PMI works to accommodate specific requests from customers and also fields calls regarding general customer questions, warranty, or installation issues.
